Drink Your Tea



“Only this moment is Life.”


The mere act of offering mindful attention whilst drinking a cup of tea invites the drinker to pause in this moment and become present and at ease.


Offering gratitude for this moment is in itself, a gentle nudge, a mindfulness bell, inviting us to pause. Becoming truly aware of this process allows the senses to touch in with the whole experience.


Notice the aroma, the colors, the steam, the warmth in your hands.

The first sip, the sensations on the lip, the tongue, the whole mouth.


Again notice the aromas.

Breathe.

The present moment is a wonderful moment.

Enjoy.


Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the whole earth revolves – slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future.


Live the actual moment.


Only this moment is life.
